So as we have settled in somewhat and started to make ourselves at home, I thought I would share the sunset we see every evening outside our front window.
This is one of the many reasons we chose to move where we have. The evenings have been very nice with laughter filling the air from our neighbors. This is a complete turn around from our neighborhood in South Philly.
Just though I would post about something we experienced along the way of our trip. As Samantha and I sat in the waiting area of the Honda dealership yesterday, the news monster on the TV reported that an arch in Arches National Park had collapsed. This arch was known as Wall Arch. It was on the trail known as Devils Garden and Samatha and I got so see it before it came down. I here are the two photos we took of it along with the photo of what it looked like after the collapse.

Our Trek through the Narrows
Hello again all. We have arrived safely in Phoenix Arizona after camping through national parks in Colorado, Utah and Arizona. We came into town in mid day to a temperature of 108° F… hot compared to the 64° we woke up to this morning on the southern rim of the Grand Canyon.
We will be finishing up our documenting of the trip tonight and tomorrow. You can use the menu on the top right to view our trip day by day. We will be putting up all 1000+ photos we took along our way for you all to see, but that wont be for another day or two.
We are somewhat sad that our trip is over but relieved that we will soon be in our new home in beautiful southern California. It has been an amazing journey, one we will both remember for the rest of our lives.

With the idea of life in mind we set out to move 3,334 miles from where we started our lives together. From Philadelphia, PA to San Diego, CA we sold many of our things, kept what we really wanted and packed it all up. On the 29th of a hot July morning in the year of 2008 we set out on our great adventure west. With the car packed full, breakfast in our bellies and the hope that this will be the best time of our lives so far, we set out. This is our great migration west. 11 days of living the dream and seeing what we have only read about.
